DAVID EDWIN MEYERS

LC4D Founder and Program Director

David is a multi-talented artist, professor and digital visionary. Professor Meyers is highly respected and considered to be a master-creative. He is a filmmaker, fine art painter, photographer, print maker and all-around digital guru. While owning and operating NetTemple. net, he provided creative services for Paul McCartney, Live Aid, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Emmys, The Grand Ole Opry, Microsoft and more.

He is currently the Program Director for the Lindsey Wilson College online degrees in Interactive Design (M.A.) and User-Experience (B.A.).  He has worked as an Interactive Design and Game Development professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, as an adjunct professor at Western Kentucky University and as a full-time professor at three other colleges and universities. The Evansville (IN) Courier Journal dubbed him the “Godfather of Digital Media in the Midwest” due to the hundreds of students he trained and mentored as a professor.

He continues to maintain his digital laboratory and has developed MusicPax, a media aggregation platform, which offers music, movies, streaming radio, podcats and other forms of media in a free and open platform.

His 2006 short film “Wood Diary” gained international acclaim and played at over 50 film festivals around the world, winning numerous awards including a Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival, as well as Best of Show at the International Disability Film Festival..

Professor Meyers has visited most of the 50 states and outlying islands and lived in Hawaii for a one-year stint. He is an avid adventurer and spends his summers traveling abroad. David has visited China, Thailand, Taiwan and Macau on a handful of occasions and is knowledgeable with the region and cultural customs.
